Lot 1537 McCaffrey & Son Bottles CA - Santa Barbara,1909-1913 - Saloon
Lot of 2: pint and half pint ambers. Slugs on both read, J.J. McCAFFREY & SON 634 STATE ST. SANTA BARBARA. Both are shoo fly pocket flasks with screw tops and un-ground spouts and air vents on the shoulders. Both have footed bases, with the half pint showing some rough chipping. James J. McCaffrey operated his liquor business in the early 1900s. From around 1909 to 1913, it was known as McCaffrey & Son. In 1914, it appears to have changed to McCaffrey & Sons. Neither names or bottles are listed in Thomas or Wilson. - Feisel Collection
